Behold...Green Bean Casserole. I'm curious, has anybody out there NOT heard of green bean casserole? Am I crazy to to believe it is a standard Thanksgiving side dish? Please, if you read this (does anybody ever read this?), tell me whether you have or have not heard of green bean casserole.

Fern: I always read your blog!! Although I have heard of green bean casserole, it is definitely not a family thanksgiving staple. In fact, my mom has NEVER made it. Odd, ey? I really think it's tastey. I miss you!! I hope you have a super thanksgiving! Mack is certainly all the adjectives you used to describe him. love you!

I can't believe you people! The green bean casserole is the ONLY thing that I look forward to about Thanksgiving! It is a defnite must for me at the holidays. Sometimes I make it even when it's not Thanksgiving.

its gross, you only eat it when you have to and even then you dont, you move it around your plate to make it look like you ate some

Hey Fern! Thanks for the birthday call :) I really like green bean casarole. We didn't have it until we were older but for the past few years it has been on our Thanksgiving table. Just curious...what inspired you asking everyone about it? I'm assuming they don't serve it in Mexico? Probably because they don't have Thanksgiving? Do they have Turkey day?

Come on Fern (or Tyler), I haven't seen anything new for over a week or more...

I'm probably a little late adding to this...but I NEVER had green bean casserole growing up, and still haven't to this day, but we had the green bean casserole discussion last week, and Levi informed me that, yes, it is a staple Traditional Thanksgiving Dish. And Levi tends to be a pretty smart guy. So I think you're OK! It looks real good, especially in that retro Pyrex dish in the picture there.

...And that red sweater is gorgeous!
